On Day 1, the students visited the beach on Sharp Island. They saw many beautiful shells, rocks and plants which they wanted to collect and take home. However, they learned that Sharp Island is a protected environment by the government, so they cannot remove any natural objects from the beach. They realised that this is to protect the environment so that others can enjoy it in the future.
On returning to school on Day 2, the students wished to show what they had learned through a puppet show. They first created their beach background and the puppets out of socks. They then wrote the script and practiced the performance many times before recording. They hoped that other students would watch their puppet show and learn more about protecting the natural environment.
